Born and raised in Calcutta, India, in the 90s, I was fortunate to grow up in a city steeped in culture, creativity, and intellectual rigour. The environment of constant discussions, debates, among the city schools and the love for detective novels that was prevalent among Bengali teenagers shaped my natural inclination for observation and analysis. With both my parents being scientists, my home was an academic haven, where deciphering complexities was second nature. This early foundation unknowingly nurtured my ability to detect patterns, understand nuances, and interpret human behaviours—skills that later became integral to my design career. When I was introduced to industrial design during my master’s program, I realised that crafting experiences came naturally to me. However, turning these intuitive ideas into tangible realities required honing my technical skills. Over the years, I have come to appreciate that design is not just about aesthetics usability or functionality—it is about creating sustainable value, designing for a greener future, and fostering meaningful interactions that stand the test of time.

Today, as a Strategic UX Leader with over eight years of experience, I specialise in crafting seamless digital experiences for leading banks, insurance firms, and government institutions across EMEA. My expertise lies in leading multi-cultural, cross-functional teams, building data-driven, customer-centric solutions that enhance user engagement, incubate sustainable brand loyalty, and drive business growth. I believe that good design about shaping behaviours, fostering trust, and improving Net Promoter Scores (NPS), increase efficiency to create a generational impact—all of which contribute to long-term revenue growth while enriching the emotional and practical aspects of human interaction with technology.

Currently, I serve as Associate Director, Experience Design at Moonraft Innovation Labs, where I lead CX strategy and end-to-end customer journey on digital banking designs for Standard Bank Group for 16 African Nations. My academic background in Mechanical Engineering, with a Masters in Industrial Design, enables me to approach UX with a problem-solving mindset rooted in system thinking

I possess strong proficiency in Lean UX, Generative AI-driven personalisation, UX governance, best-practice analysis, and agile delivery methods, which allow me to create experiences that are both scalable and deeply human-centric

I believe that collaboration with diverse talents from different cultural and professional backgrounds enriches the design process and elevates creativity. My goal is always to craft experiences that improve the quality of human-time and emotions, ensuring that they not only serve business and compliance needs but also make a lasting, positive impact on users and society.
